NASCAR Fantasy Becomes Reality for Sweepstakes Winner!
Lincoln Customer and 3 Guests Attend Allstate 400 at the Brickyard

After winning the grand prize in Lincoln's NASCAR Fantasy Weekends Sweepstakes, Christopher Benn, of Stillwater, N.Y., and three guests were recently whisked to Indianapolis, Indiana, for a VIP weekend at the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard race at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

And it wasn't just about watching the race. Pits, paddocks and garages were open to Benn and his guests as they met Tony Stewart's racing team, engineers from Ganassi Racing and NASCAR drivers like David Stremme. Accessing areas off limits to the average racing spectator, the lucky fans spent time viewing the race preparations and walking on the racetrack, finally coming to a triumphant stance on the legendary Brickyard finish line.

Lincoln's NASCAR contest winners enjoyed VIP views of a NASCAR Truck Series race on Friday night, the qualifying and practices races on Saturday, and the Nextel Cup main event race on Sunday. As part of the contest, the winners also received tickets to the Indy Racing Museum, round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation and Lincoln Motorsports GiftGear.

How I Did It-1: Custom Trucks

Jason Katterheinrich runs Kat Kustoms, a builder of custom 4WD, Off-Road and Street Performance vehicles. Located in western Ohio, Kat Kustoms utilizes Lincoln SP170-T and SP-255 wire feeder welders for their MIG welding needs. One of their most recent creations is a 2003 Ford F-250 with 25 inches of lift. It has Rockwell military axles, a Power Stroke® diesel engine, 49 inch tall tires and a custom 4-link suspension designed and built by Kat Kustoms.

How I Did It-2:
Metallic Mascots

Metal sculptor John Goss created these metallic mascots for two high schools in Michigan. The dragon watches over Kalkaska High School and the other stands in front of Mancelona High School, home of the Ironmen. Both stand approximately 15 feet tall and are made almost entirely of scrap material.

John relied on a Lincoln Power MIG® 255 wire feeder welder and Super Arc® L-56 MIG wire for the welding portion of the projects. He was pleased with the performance of the welder and could not say enough about its fine performance.
