This Summer, BHC Ltd invested in 11 Lincoln Electric Speedtec 405SP multi process machines. The Lanarkshire based company which specialises in structural steelwork design, manufacture and build, had previously identified a need for investment in their welding department via their continuous development programme.
BHC's Responsible Welding Co-ordinator Jim Cowan has said, "Following a vigorous selection process in which we looked at various brands of equipment, including previous suppliers and those with a reputation for quality, service and price, we chose Lincoln as they met all these requirements and more".
Jim continues, "During the trials the Lincoln equipment provided BHC with all our needs at a competitive price. Taking everything into consideration including after sales service and continued support on existing consumables and education the decision was easy to make. Even the training Lincoln provided on plant set up was tailored to suit the needs of all welding operatives from skilled tradesmen to first year apprentices".
The investment has had an immediate impact, with BHC already noticing benefits, "Our purchase has enabled BHC to meet our continues improvement targets with weld efficiency. With continued support and training from Lincoln we have also improved on set up times and weld quality".
