The Aluminum Designation System

Armao will explain AA's aluminum alloy and temper designation system, as well as the physical and mechanical properties of aluminum alloys at 9:15 a.m. on Sept. 18.

GAS METAL ARC WELDING

He also will present at 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 18.  In this presentation, Armao will discuss metal transfer modes, shielding gas types, wire feed systems, and power source selection – constant voltage, constant current, pulse or variable polarity.

  Metal Preparation for Aluminum Welding

On that same day at 1:30 p.m.., Doria will present “Metal Preparation for Aluminum Welding” – one of the key steps in producing good quality welded joints. He will stress the importance of proper weld preparations to avoid weld discontinuities in aluminum welding.

In addition to listening to these great Lincoln Electric speakers, conference participants also will have the opportunity to visit the Lincoln Electric booth in the exhibition area of the conference for networking and a chance to see and discuss the latest products and services available for the aluminum welding industry.
