LAS VEGAS (March 21, 2014) – The 2014 Monster Jam World FinalsSM, presented by NGK Spark Plugs, crowned a two-time racing champion tonight in front of a packed Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Grave Digger The Legend®, driven by Adam Anderson, beat Max-DSM and Tom Meents, to the finish line to take home the racing championship for the second year in row.

Grave Digger The Legend qualified fifth in last night’s qualifying session setting up a first round race with Madusa®. After knocking Madusa out of the first round and Captain’s Curse® out of the second round, Grave Digger The Legend then beat Wolverine in the third round, before knocking off his father, Dennis, and Grave Digger® in the semi-finals. In the championship round Anderson edged out Meents, who had a wicked crash out of Thunder AlleySM, giving him his second consecutive Monster Jam World Finals Racing Championship.

“We love you guys, this is great!” said Adam Anderson. “I’ve seen you everywhere, I remember all your faces, and this is for you guys.

Without Cole (Venard), we wouldn’t be here. We came here on a mission and guess what, it happened again. This wasn’t my goal, to win racing, I want to win them both. I’m going to see what I can do!”

In the second semi-final round, Iron ManTM beat Max-D, but the race was restarted due to an official’s call.  After the restart, Max-D edged out Iron Man and a frustrated Lee O’Donnell to a chorus of boos from the capacity crowd.
