CLEVELAND, July 19, 2011 – Lincoln Electric is excited to announce their participation at the 2011 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
|Through a partnership with FFJournal Magazine, Lincoln Electric will be exhibiting alongside several other metal forming companies at the 2011 Product Demonstration Fair from August 6-12. The event will take place at the Sturgis Community Center Expo Lot which is located between 4th and 5th Street on Lazelle.
At this event, exhibitors will interact with attendees by helping them learn about new metalworking products and techniques.
“The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally isn’t a typical place to find a metal forming and fabricating trade show.” said Jim D'Alexander, COO of FFJournal. “At the Product Demonstration Fair, exhibitors have the opportunity to introduce their products to hobbyists and professional bike builders, as well as talk shop with attendees on the street.
Whether you are customizing a motorcycle or fabricating and forming sheet metal for other innovative projects, you need the right tools. Our mission is to ensure that we are doing everything we can to showcase the custom applications taking place around the country and the tools that make these innovations possible.”

While at the Lincoln Electric display, attendees will be able to test their welding skills at a demonstration unit which has MIG, TIG and plasma cutting capabilities. Current and future fabricators will be able to meet industry experts while learning techniques to improve their skills.
“We’ve been involved with several bike builders over the years, so going to Sturgis was the perfect opportunity to interact with our fellow enthusiasts at one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the world,” said Scott Skrjanc, Tradeshow Events Manager. “We will have some of our most experienced welding educators on hand, so I encourage anyone, regardless of skill level, to stop by and try their hand at welding.”
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the well known fabricators that use Lincoln Electric products in their shop.
||On Aug. 10 from 5 – 8pm, Bryan Fuller, host of SPEED Channel’s Two Guy’s Garage®, is having a party for the release of his new book, FULL-BORE SHEET METAL, the first in a series of custom fabrication “how-to” books written by shop guys, for shop guys.
After the book release, Fuller and Lincoln Electric will co-host a premier viewing of the HD Theater series, Café Racer TV. Throughout four episodes this season, Bryan will be featured as he modifies a 1969 CB 750 Honda motorcycle, inspired by his classic hot rod roots. This bike along with several other Fuller Creations will be on site during the viewing event.
