Overview This course is geared for welding instructors. It is also open to end users and distributors who want a comprehensive overview of the main arc welding processes and update of the latest technologies in each.
Agenda A 4-1/2 day seminar limited to 20 attendees that is approximately 60% classroom and 40% hands-on. The course focuses on welding safety and the four basic welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW). The objectives are to improve attendees’ process knowledge and skills both in the classroom and in the lab, as well as an update on the latest welding technologies for each process. Emphasis will be placed on Lincoln Electric’s Nextweld® advanced technologies. Other topics include the oxyfuel process, plasma arc cutting, basic metallurgy, and welding of aluminum and stainless steel.
A breakout session will also be held for all instructors in the class on why have your own high technology welding training program and on Lincoln’s No Teacher Left Behind™ educational support program (including no charge training curriculums, teaching aids, technical support, and product discounts).
