Power Wave® “Weld Mode Search” Available

All Power Wave® models manufactured since 2002 now have a "Weld Mode Search" feature available. This easy to use feature lets the operator quickly and easily select the weld mode they want, simply by going through a couple of menu choices. Power Wave® equipment may need updated system software available at www.powerwavesoftware.com.

This feature is explained on the decal inside Power Wave® C300 units, and is also shown on a new decal for all Power Feed® 10M wire feeders (shown below).

The “Weld Mode Search” is intelligent, in that it identifies the power source configuration during start up, and will only display weld modes and processes that are available based on the power source configuration.

As an example, if the Power Feed® wire feeder is connected to a Power Wave® S350 without the optional STT® module, STT® welding modes will not appear. Once you connect the STT® module, the STT® process will then be a process choice upon system startup.
