Manure Spreader

"My son and I cut a 5,000 gallon tank in half using our Lincoln Pro-Cut® 55, then cut the end out of the worst half and welded it on to the best half using our Lincoln Power MIG® 255 wire feeder welder. We then used a piece of 4 inch oil field pipe for the slinger shaft, welded on the chain hangers using new 3/8 inch No. 40 trucker chain, and cut to fit the slinger tees with 1 inch clearance.

"From the tank we bored two 2 inch holes into 4 inch slugs that we welded 2 inch cold roll shaft into, then welded the slugs into the 4 inch oil field pipe. We bought two 2 inch flange bearings and a 100 horsepower PTO drive shaft from surplus supply. The other components we already had.

"After a couple gallons of paint, the $#@& was flying!"
