Course Offerings and Prerequisites
All courses are conducted on a lecture-lab basis. Course capacity is limited, early registration is advised. Transportation will be furnished to and from Lincoln Electric each day only to the Lincoln Electric authorized hotel (Cleveland schools only). If you are staying in another location you will be responsible for your own transportation. Lunch will be provided by Lincoln Electric.

Students attending any Lincoln Electric service training class are expected to have an electrical background. We suggest that you take the Entry Level Examination to determine your electrical skills. Please do not register for a class until you have enough electrical knowledge to pass this test at 70% or better.

Lincoln Authorized Repair Facility (LASF) Certification Training Course - 4 days (Tuesday – Friday)
Class hours are 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM (if flying out of Cleveland, plan on a 7:00 PM flight or later). Repair technicians will learn the fundamentals of welder operation and the most efficient methods of repairing and troubleshooting the machines normally serviced by Lincoln Electric Authorized Service Facilities. The class will begin with basic theory and will progress to a more advanced theory by the end of the course. This 4-day course is based on Lincoln Electric’s mature product lines. At the conclusion of this course there will be an exam where each technician is required to achieve a score of 70% or higher to receive certification.

LASF Recertification Training Course - 3 days (Tuesday – Thursday)
Class hours are 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM (if flying out of Cleveland, plan on 7:00 PM flight or later). Repair technicians will be trained on many of the latest Lincoln products that have recently been released to the market. All LASF are required to attend this course once every two years to maintain their service contract with Lincoln Electric. This class is open only to technicians who have already passed and completed the LASF Certification Training Course. Lincoln Electric also offers an on-line training course for the LASF Recertification Training Course. The on-line recertification course can only be taken every four years. Power Wave Technology (Tuesday – Friday) 
Class hours are 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM every day (if flying out of Cleveland, plan on 6:30 PM flight or later). This course focuses on Power Wave welding systems. A strong electronics and/or electrical background are recommended. The course is open to service shops and Lincoln Electric customers. Lunch will be provided by Lincoln Electric. Attendance in this course will count as your two year update. Serial cables used to communicate with Power Wave Manager will be provided to students with laptops (only).

Robotic Service Shop Course - 5 days
Attending this course along with the Power Wave Technology Course (see above) are necessary to meet Lincoln's Robotic Service Shop (RSS) contract requirements.

Online Class Registration View

All registrations for Service Schools are now done online – click the above "View" button for class registration. A confirmation email will be sent once registration is completed. Please note that the classes fill up quickly. Register at least six weeks in advance of the course in order to assure the best chance of getting into the class of your choice. Online class registration will be closed four days prior to their start date. Courses will be held if six or more students enroll. All cancellations must be done via email at least 10 days prior to the class start date. Any cancellation done in less than 10 days from the course will still be charged the course fee.

Hotel Reservations

It is necessary for you to contact the hotel, make and confirm your reservation, as well as provide payment. Information pertaining to the hotel will be provided in the "Hotel Information" section of the class registration page. It can also be found in your confirmation email that you will receive upon registration. If class is held in Cleveland, you will also receive a link to the hotel site to make reserving a room quick and easy.

No Smoking Policy
The Lincoln Electric Company provides a healthy, non-smoking environment for all our employees and visitors, therefore smoking is not permitted on the premises (includes parking lot).

Casual clothes are acceptable. Please wear a shirt with sleeves and long pants. No open-toed shoes.

Your cost will include the registration fee, plus other items such as your hotel bill, meals and transportation to the city where the class is being held.
