Ice Fishing Stove
If you have ever considered building an ice fishing stove, here is a simple set of plans developed by a competitor in one of the past James F. Lincoln Arc Welding Foundation School/Shop Award programs. So, gather up your materials, practice your welding skills and jump in!

Procedures
1. Lay out to cut: top, bottom, ends, and sides.
2. Cut top, bottom, ends, and sides.
3. Grind edges square and chip slag.
4. Tack ends and sides together.
5. Check for squareness. Tack top and bottom.
6. Square all corners and weld.
7. Cut 3" hole in top of stove for pipe.
8. Weld on stove pipe.
9. Cut 6" x 6" square hole for door.
10. Make and tack on door hinge and latch.
11. Weld hinge, latch and make handle.
12. Put door frame on inside, weld and put door on.
13. Drill 3-3/4" holes in stove for vent control.
14. To make vent control, drill 3-3/4" holes in control, weld handle on and bolt on.
15. Make legs and plates for bottom of legs.
16. Weld on legs and plates.
17. Clean with etching solution.
18. Paint with high temperature paint.
