Arc Products®

For more than 30 years, Arc Products® of San Diego, California has designed and manufactured automated arc welding equipment. Today, their systems are utilized in manufacturing plants in over 26 countries.

Arc Products® maintains in house development and manufacturing operations to ensure each customer receives rapid response, enhanced quality and system performance carefully matched to their application.

In 2011, Arc Products® was incorporated into Lincoln Electric, the global leader in the design, development and manufacture of arc welding products, robotic arc welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment. Arc Products® systems are sold direct and through the Lincoln Electric global network of sales and distribution facilities in over 160 countries.

Founded in 1974, Askaynak became the exclusive distributor of Lincoln Electric's welding machinery and equipment in 1992. In 1998, this relationship became a fully-fledged partnership with the acquisition of a 50% shareholding in the Company by Lincoln Electric.

Askaynak, based in Turkey, produces MIG/MAG welding wires, submerged Arc wires, stick electrodes and Starweld® stainless steel MIG and TIG wires. Kobatek® products are used in hardfacing repair and maintenance welding applications. Lincoln Electric equipment and consumables are also marketed by Askaynak for regional sales.

Burny Kaliburn

Burny Kaliburn, acquired by Lincoln Electric in 2012, is a consolidation of three businesses, Burny®, Kaliburn® and Cleveland Motion Controls (CMC). With headquarters and manufacturing operations located in Ladson, South Carolina, the complementary product lines provide customers with a wide array of conventional and high current density plasma cutting systems, including easy to use shape-cutting motion control solutions for plasma, oxy-fuel, and water jet cutting machines, as well as routing, engraving and dispensing equipment. In addition to state-of-the-art PC-based controls and drive systems, Burny also supplies operator’s consoles, torch height controls, plate making devices and pattern tracing systems for new and used cutting machines. Cleveland Motion Control (CMC) provides motion control and integrated systems solutions for a variety of applications in a broad range of industries.

Easom Automation

Easom Automation, an integrator and manufacturer of automation and position solutions, serving heavy fabrication, aerospace and automotive OEMs and suppliers. Solutions include turntables, positioners, robot transport units, tool shuttles, conveyors, lifters and other specialty equipment. Easom Automation works closely with end users of their products to offer cost effective and reliable solutions for ever changing manufacturing process.

Harris® Products Group

Credited with discovering the oxy-acetylene method of cutting in 1899, John Harris exhibited a torch in 1904 and founded Harris Calorific™ in 1905. Independently, in 1914, Joseph W. Harris founded J.W. Harris Company, specializing in distribution of parts for automotive and farm vehicles.

Lincoln Electric acquired Harris Calorific™ in 1990. The Harris® Products Group was formed in 2006 with the merger of Harris Calorific, Inc., manufacturer of gas welding and cutting equipment and gas regulation and distribution systems, and the J.W. Harris Company., manufacturer of brazing and soldering alloys and welding consumables.

Today, the combined Company is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of gas welding and cutting equipment, industrial and specialty gas regulation equipment, gas distribution systems, brazing and soldering alloys and welding alloys.

The Harris® Products Group currently operates manufacturing facilities in Mason, Ohio, USA; Gainesville, Georgia, USA, Dzierzonow, Poland, and Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Indalco® Alloys, Inc.

For more than 25 years, Indalco® Alloys has produced a broad range of premium aluminum alloy TIG (GTAW) cut lengths and MIG (GMAW) wires in a variety of convenient packages for projects large and small.

The Company also serves as a continuous cast redraw producer for other processors of aluminum wire products. Manufacturing was recently upgraded with a significant modernization of the Company’s continuous cast aluminum rod mill facilities. Indalco® remains the only aluminum welding consumables supplier that controls the chemistry and quality of its own rod to manufacture welding consumables. The result is enhanced product consistency at the arc and the ability to customize formulations to target specific metallurgical challenges raised by customer applications.

In recent years, the Company has expanded its product line to aluminum stick electrode (SMAW) products and new forms of welding consumable bulk packaging.

First formed in 1963, U.K-based Metrode Products, Ltd., offers one of the largest ranges of alloyed welding consumables available from a single source. The products range from those suitable for welding on low alloy steels, through numerous alloy steels, to welding consumables designed to match the performance of nickel-based alloys.

Products are produced for these arc welding processes:  SMAW, TIG (GTAW), MIG/MAG (GMAW), flux-cored (FCAW), metal-cored (MCW), as well as wire and flux combinations for submerged arc (SAW).

Techalloy®, Inc.

With a start as early as 1919, Baltimore, Maryland-based Techalloy®, Inc., became a Lincoln Electric Company in 2011. The Company produces nickel alloy and stainless steel welding consumables for automotive exhaust systems, high temperature and anti-corrosive chemical and pharmaceutical industry applications and oil and gas industry fabrication maintenance and repair.

Additionally, the Company’s products are considered industry standards in power generation and nuclear applications. Techalloy® maintains a leading position as a supplier for power plant weld overlay operations. The food industry relies on Techalloy® for mixing, transfer and conveying equipment fabrication and repair. The highly corrosive environments experienced in the paper and pulp industries often require overlay welding to help protect processing equipment. Additionally, Marine products are generally exposed to natural corrosives that can be addressed with Techalloy® nickel and stainless steel alloys.

Moving forward, Techalloy® products will be sold direct and also through the Lincoln Electric network of sales and distribution facilities around the world.

With an additional sales, service and support office in Canada, Tennessee Rand™ has the capability, expertise and resources to build a variety of equipment ranging from dedicated welding cells to integrated in-line systems.

With an ISO9001:2000 Quality Assurance and NQA-1 Program, compliant for the nuclear industry, the company also serves a wide industry base of automotive, aerospace, military, power generation, and industrial equipment.

Starting in 1979 with breakthrough pricing on Torchmate® pantograph oxyfuel cutting machines, the Company introduced CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) plasma cutting systems in 1997. Gantry table-based systems were first offered in 2001.

Always keeping affordability in mind, the Torchmate® X was developed and marketed at half the price of competing systems. In 2010, the Company launched the Torchmate® 2x2 CNC Prototyping System to allow home hobbyists and small garages to enjoy the benefits of CNC cutting technology.

Today, systems can be per personalized to order to incorporate a plasma cutter, router, water jet, engraver, glue gun or other tools. In 2011, Reno, Nevada-based Applied Robotics®, Inc., known in the welding industry by its brand name Torchmate®, was acquired by Lincoln Electric.

Uhrhan & Schwill Schweißtechnik, GmbH

Founded in 1963, Essen, Germany-based Uhrhan & Schwill sets the standard for multiple-arc submerged arc welding for pipe production both inside and outside of the pipe. The Company also offers single arc MIG/MAG tack welding systems for pipe production. More than 300 systems are active in over 35 large diameter pipe mills around the world. Systems can be equipped to achieve maximum welding speeds with up to five electrodes for spiral or longitudinal seams.

The Company was acquired by Lincoln Electric in 1998, advancing a total systems approach for pipe mill welding, including welding power sources, consumables, control engineering, vision systems, fixturing and metallurgy.
