James used his Lincoln Electric SP-140T wire feeder welder and self-shielded flux-cored wire electrode to fabricate these ballet barre brackets for his daughter.
The brackets are comprised of 1-inch square tubing, 1-1/2-inch flat stock and 2-inch DIM tube. The brackets will be mounted to a wall in his daughter’s bedroom and will support a 2-inch diameter solid maple dowel. He included a 1/4-inch set screw in each bracket to hold the dowel in place.
James primed and painted the brackets with Rust-Oleum textured paint.
James learned to weld by watching the videos produced by Lincoln Electric.
