Kevin Allgire of Angola, IN writes:

"I'm a Motorsports Photographer for Angola Motor Speedway outside of Fremont, Indiana. In 2004, the track was closed so I traveled with a Touring series called the USA Modified Series. At the end of the season, they had an awards banquet and gave door prizes away and I won a Lincoln SP-135 Plus MIG welder.

"Heck, I hardly ever win anything. I already had a Lincoln stick welder. Before getting into the photography end of racing, I had been a crew member on a race team and had learned how to do some MIG welding.

"My first project was to build a roof for my John Deere Gator™ Utility Vehicle to keep the sun off me at the track. The frame is made out of 1-inch square tubing with a 1/8-inch thick aluminum roof. I even added a rear view mirror from a Case Backhoe. Since then I have built many projects around home. Thanks Lincoln for making such a good welder!"
