Helicopter Cockpit

Doug from Colorado writes:

"This is the cockpit portion of the airframe for my home built experimental helicopter. It's a single-place design based on a 300 HP Allison turbine engine from a military helicopter. Having three times the power of some experimental helicopters allows me to include more safety features such as this race car inspired all 4130 tube airframe. I used my Lincoln® Square Wave TIG 255 (current model Precision TIG® 275), to TIG weld this section together using stainless steel filler rod. Tubing pieces were fish mouthed on a CNC mill for ease of welding and best fit and finish."
