Maple Syrup Evaporator Tank

Ted Zablocki and several of his welding students at Lenape Tech School in Ford City, PA, fabricated this maple syrup evaporator tank for the Ag-Science department when their old tank was accidentally crushed. The tank is made from stainless steel and was fully TIG welded using a Lincoln Precision TIG 185 (current model is a Precision TIG 225) and Lincoln Invertec V205-T AC/DC. After the project was completed and the first batch of syrup boiled, the Ag-Science department treated the welding students to a pint of homemade maple syrup as a way of saying "thanks". Sweet!
