DETAILS

Iron-based chromium carbide alloys designed for applications subject to abrasion accompanied by impact from rock, ore, clay, sand or cement, including digging or crusher surfaces or parts that must maintain sharp cutting edges. This product can be applied in multiple layers and may cross check crack. Metal-to- Earth hardfacing products can be used on carbon, low alloy, manganese, stainless and cast iron parts. Used in applications with abrasion accompanied by impact, works best in Metal-to-Earth applications.

Features

  • Deposit is limited to four layers
  • Designed to meet the weldability and mechanical property needs of mining equipment suppliers and rebuilders
  • Maintain resistance to check cracking with proper preheat and interpass temperature
  • The hard martensitic matrix provides good metal-to-metal wear resistance and moderate impact resistance when tempered
  • Can be used with the bulk tungsten carbide process for additional abrasion resistance and exceptional wear life
