What is a Trademark?

A trademark can be any word, phrase, symbol, design, or a combination of these things that identifies the source of the goods or services. Also as trade dress, it can be the appearance of a product of it packaging, including size, shape, color, graphics, and appearance. It’s how customers recognize you in the marketplace and distinguish you from your competitors.
